    I borrow my fathers tomtom300...excellent wee thing, especially as you can load up the speed camera data base :D Fancier tomtom's only useful if you travel abroad... And.... it is real easy to take from car to car....think it was £370 to buy, that is £2+ cheaper than the dealer wants for SATNAV...

    Don't think we're allllll sceptics, just like most I don't tend to believe the marketing hype till I hear from someone real that has the car.... It is good news that the mpg is much better, I would struggle to justify from performance side alone, but with better mpg...mmmm...

    ahhhh... but I would not buy a BMW with wood...last BMW had a lovelly silver sluminium cube trim.... way nicer than wood ! Point is at least in a BMW you get a choice....and standard is not wood (which suits me)

    :P Insisted one be fitted f.o.c. when i done the deal for my RX300 SE. Lexus Woodford only to happy to oblige. ← Could not have negotiated your discount hard enough if they chucked that in for free ;)... I got to point they would not give me the boot liner !...they were prepared to walk away from deal rather than give it to me :D

    Black button only disables the swivel bit so headlamps fixed. Don't think this does what you want, namely adjust it for driuving on other side of road. BMW used to have a switch inside for continental driving on cars with xenon headlamps...never heard of this (or read it in manual) in the RX....

    My RX300 has LW....just press the "AM" button and it goes to MW then onto LW... ?

    No idea how they do centre consule bit... you can always contact Lexus Glasgow and see what they say. Also guessing it will not be that cheap ! I also hate wood, though it is growing on me...slowly... I would have opted for aluminium / carbon given choice..

    Pretty sure it is now available from most Lexus dealers now...not that cheap though.

    My delaer (Lexus Glasgow) had someone that could cover the wood with leather...maybe something you could consider ? Also, doubt trim from LHD cars will work on a RHD car, switches etc in wrong places ??

    I went for it...covers me for car being up to 3 years old. To be honest this is the first time that I've taken it and I have mixed feelings about it. Still if I write off car or it is stolen I get enough £££ for a new car... :D Just have to hope I never need it.

    definitely a trip computer in the car... just "hidden" within the SATNAV functions.. Read the manual and you'll find it... I don't have SATNAV so mine is real easy to find ;)

    So finally got round to polishing my RX with Swissol.... Pre-wax treatment... absolutely amazing, literally left the paint so clean it squeaks, never had anything that worked as well as this. Wax..so easy to apply and wipe to an amazing shine... I thoroughly recommend this stuff...and if anyone looking for a supplier PM me and I'll give you the contact details of guy that supplied my stuff... nice bloke who did not try to rip me off by pushing more than I needed.

    My father swapped 3 door auto RAV4 for a 5 door manual RAV4.... he found a 6-7 mpg difference when going to manual even though the 5 door is bigger / heavier. Why he swap...getting my 16th month old son in / out the 3 door was killing his back :D (they do sprog sitting 2 days a week) He just loves the RAV4...also noted that a lot of the switch gear etc are identical to my RX (sttering wheel same apart from badge for instance).

    Must say I did not by my RX300 or performance.....loved the luxury, amount of standard kit etc. If I had another £4.7k to spend and wanted more performance I would probably not look at a RX400... I'd look at a big saloon / estate where the handling would match the extra performance. I looked at a BMW 353d sport but £40k plus price was just too much this time round... another £4.7k and I'd be looking at that again or the GS hybrid when it comes.. both are significantly faster than the RX400 and go round corners much easier.

    I think if you buy an RX400h you have to be wanting it for the extra performance... the £4.7k adder to the RX300's price is going to take a long long long time to make up on the economy side. Still not all lost if the residuals are better ? Maybe I should have a test drive before I say toooo much more ?
