    So spotted my first couple of mistakes... On the SE Wheel size is 18" ... but tyre size is quoted as 19's On the SE-L Wheel size is 18" ... but tyre size is quoted as 20's So which is it ???

    Common issue on the RX's as well... mate has an 04 plate and had to get a new set at 10k miles....and that was on a RX300SEL...~£39k worth... I'm watching mine every time I wash them...

    To be honest I'm happy with the way they function, can't see any issue with them staying on till door open ? Think you're stuck with this function whether you want it or not I'm afraid.

    But they do turn themselves off...once you open the door. Maybe I'm missing something but to me they work fine.

    Mine is on the "auto" position and stay on untill drivers door open... can't see the issue with this ? Like has been said otherwise use the off position on the stalk..not exactly such a big chore ??

    Loads of good restaurants, in particular the indian restaurants are brilliant. I can recommend a good chinese, Italian, mexican.... What sort of stuff you looking for ?

    Swap you rcar for a RX and you'll have loads of room for the baby seat !.....expensive way to sort the issue though.

    Do you have alist of Lexus garages that accept the Gold discount ? I'm considering it and want to check my local delare (lexus Glasgow) will give me a discount.

    Heard you have to be careful about how thick the paint covering is otherwise they stop working....

    good thing is that if it is better it will maybe make Lexus raise their game next time...competition can only be good for the next generation.

    guy at work has an '04 plate RX and had a recall for a brake light switch...so how that not recorded ??

    I have only got rear parking sensors...and must say very happy with way they work... How close you want to get to object before stopping ? And you stop on first beep or when you get a continuous tone ? Rear view camera mounted just above number plate...off set to left hand side as you look at back of the car.

    # 1)...yip can get that with the portable systems. 2)...Some have the ability to predict direction, sure the TOMTOM G0 300 does this, no idea how though..built in Gyro / compass ? 3) I priced othe SATNAV at £2.5k...was told worth £1k extra at 3 year resale point...ooch !..so bad resale your point.. worth £500 a year 4) ...cant argue with that...personally I'd only use it occasionally at best. 5)... yip one less but as it does speed cameras it replaces the radar detector !

    I think that risk in very little in a crash, especially as mounted in centre of thw screen...plus it is very light. I agree that the built in system is neater...but worth £2k ???....no way...

    So when I got my RX300SE I did not go for the SATNAV option as could not justify (or afford) the £2.5k that it cost. My father just bought a tomtom go 300 last week for < £400 and I borrowed it...it is brilliant, does what the SATNAV system did on the demo RX300SE did...plus, I've downloaded the speed camera, sorry safety camera ;) data base so covers that as well.. So, trying to see how Lexus charge you £2,100 more for a built in version...ok you get a bluetooth phone...my headset cost £40 and parking camera (realllly neat)...but £2k+ ????

    Better way in Scotland where there is none of the chain thing...as soon as you sign the missives it is legally binding. Can't understand why the English system can't change to something more sensible.

    I hit mine off bricks going into my garage... but "fortunately" onlyt scratched the paint...£75 to get repainted when I get round to getting it into the dealers.. I say one on ebay recently it was going well cheap...

    Auto express quoting 23rd May for the launch date for the RX400H.... pity never got any invite to the launch party (if there is such a tihng)... though no way i'd be swapping, £6k more than RX300 just tooo steep for my wallet.

    So just read the autoexpress magazine for this week and they rated the Nissan Murano over the RX300.... though did say the main reason is lack or kit on base model RX300...which you get on the Murano for a similar price.

    I have that and works well for the floor...but does not do anything to protect the light grey side bits.. :(
