you're totally right, but when you've just paid for something you worked pretty hard to get, and then its stolen from you, the adrenaline just starts pumping, and you forget about what the insurance certificate is for :( and start taking things into your own hands. i forgot to mention, while i was at the hospital, the police took a statement from me, and when we had finished with the statement, the police lady goes to me that if i tried to sort them out, then i'd be the first suspect on their hit list if anything were to happen to them... i obey the law, but that just peeves me right off!!!! ← Yeah, your not allowed restorative justice anymore. You just have to let the police do nothing and catch no one. And I'm not dissing the police as three of my friends are filth! The modern skoda is as a good as any other VAG on the market, hence very good indeeed. Where Skoda also score higher than their VW/Audi counterparts is that thye are also very good value for money. The Octavia VRS is a very capable car , and with the right REVO remap you can get 300 bhp out of the engine :winky: . That's a tasty proposition. The only thing they lack is badge credidbility, but even that is much less acute than it once was. Would I buy one, not yet, but getting close to it. The only thing that would stop me is as a senior consultant at an IT firm you need a bit of class in the carpark as part of the image. It's sad but true. As they say "dress for the job you want, not the job you have". The same with a car really. Driving a lex/audi/bm is part of the image of the job. J

My brother went on the Gumball last year. He went with his venture capitalist (who paid!) in the guys DB7. It was one long mad drive and party. The girls that go there are very wild and rich!! (apparently , obviously I didn't go) :duh: I think the DB7 got clocked at 150 mph. Paid the £1000 fine and drove off. J I'll get him to send me some pics to show you the lineup. Look how much :tsktsk: I have installed lol. The best way to also protect against malware etc is to use Firefox web browser. Using Internet explorer is like displaying a big flashing neon sign saying please install :tsktsk: on my computer .

Honestly it's easy. Spybot is easy to use. Hijack this just displays your registry settings associated with browsing. Just click Scan, then Save Log. It's a 20 minute job max (you'll need to re-boot once you've run Hijack-this , and then run it again, to make sure those registry settings have really gone. J Here's my log. Looks ok to me! Ad-aware is fine, but I feel Spybot has the edge. Somethings like re-direct urls are registry settings which is why you need to run hijack-this to get rid of them. J

Hmmmm...did take a look at this before posting up, but it scares the hell out of me . ← Two things to install .# 1 spybot s&d http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/ Download the latest version of this, get it to update itself using the update button. Then clicck the search buttont, use this to search for everything malware,spyware , keyloggers etc and get rid of it. Then use the immunise button to protect against spyware/malware etc in the future. This should be fairly straightforward to use. If you need help ask, once you click the immunise button it should protect you against most further attacks. It's important to save the backup it creates when you press immunise, as it might disable something you actually want. Once you have done this you are ready for the final. Run hijack-this http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ Follow these instructions on the web page. What hijack-this does it to scan your registry. Then it displays the entries their related to your browser etc. You can identify from this what is good (i,e your google bar) and what is bad (i.e ibis search bar). Then using this program you can delete these entries, to stop the spyware from appearig again. Some spyware is tricky to get rid off which is why you need this multilevel approach. Think of it as agent orange for spyware! When you have to kill every last mother :tsktsk: in the room, accept no substitutes. IF you need help understanding the hijack-this prinout take a copy of it and post it here. I'll tell you which lines to delete. Then once your up and running - make sure you have zonealarm firewall or similar, and have the latest anti-virus software running at all time! I took a day off holiday to do telling at the polling stations , been running back and forthe to the local headquarters all day. back out till 8.30 , then get a takeaway some wine and hope the elections ours. Maidehead for May!! ;)

I am suprised you mention the stereo, the bose sound quality (9 speaker seems excellent, perhaps a touch more low-midrange). I didn;t try the cd in the is200 so I can't compare. 350 z is loverly drive, got a great grunt and you can feel the torque, initially the RX-8 felt a bit lifeless but after 5000 miles it's really starting to open up. It sounds soo sweet once you get over 6k! Linear torque is a strange beast! I was going to try (and probably buy) and Alpina B10 4.6 V8 today, but some :tsktsk: beat me to it. I think the Alpina could reign as the ultimate Q car. Pace , space and grace. BMW build and Alpina hand finished engine badge. FULLY loaded as well. They depreciate much quicker than the equivalent M car as well Much more exclusive than the standard propellor badge as well. J

Shame, I never look out of the rear window :D , the rear view mirror and side mirrors give you all the visibilty you need, probably needed to adjust the seat and rear view mirror to get the best view. It shouldn't be a problem as the RX-8 is quite a narrow car. I am 6 ft and the wife is 5,10 and we don't have problems. My mum could drive it (very slowly!) and she's 5 ft 3! J

Just to let you know I am looking for a change of car from my Rx-8 due to more room needed for the family. I have driven so far a Vertex (good car), Subaru Legacy B4 RSK (twin turbo suped up version of the legacy saloon) , Is200 , Gs300 sport, I have looked at although not driven a C32 AMG (old style) and am looking at another car tommorow (can't wait). I also considered getting an Octavia VRs and chipping to 280bhp/torque, but rejected that at the moment on grounds of image needed for the work car park (sad but true). I have done a LOT of research over the past month! I have not decided yet which is the route to go. My needs are basically a Q car. I.e 4 doors a good boot, yet fast as well. None of them really grabbed me 100% although I am considering one or two. IS200 was too small for me in the back for the kids , but a cracking drive. Although you have to nail it go get the power out. I say that even though the RX-8 (231) has a fantastic mid engine rear wheel drive setup and nigh on perfect handling. Yet I still enjoyed the Is200, I would probably have to supercharge though to live with it day to day as the standard 200 runs out of grunt just as it's getting interesting. You can always be suprised what a little extra power can do. My old man has a 350Z , he got a de-cat and better airflow and he's happy as larry now (not that it was lacking in grunt before). This long winded post is just to say that there are plenty of good cars with good and bad points. If your Is200 is lacking in certain va va voom then consider uprating the hp, lowering the suspension etc. A mini will handle very well but thats what it does. If I didn't have the space requirements I would be driving an altezza/is200 now (with an sc!). :winky: If I could afford the new GS I would buy it tommorow! I am going to decide in the next couple of days which car to buy. J
