  1. Did you buy the CD? We could have a blast of the Lexus track playing everytime we sign in!!
  2. See it's all gone quiet, so I assume they didn't follow all that
  3. It should make sense if you've just got up at 25 past 11!! Every little bit helps....... As Hunter said (if you've gotta ask 'whose Hunter', don't bother) - works for me!!
  4. Claire (and others), does your Internet Service Provider (ISP) allow you some free webspace? Most usually allow 10 meg or so. If so, you need to upload the picture you want displayed over there <----- to that webspace (see your ISP help or FAQ's on how to do this), remembering about the size of the file. It needs to be so wide by so high. Then, you enter the URL of that picture/webspace in the Avatar section of your profile. For example: One of my ISP's is Demon, and they allocate space for me at 'Grangey'. I uploaded my avatar to the that webspace, and so the URL is http://www.grangey.demon.co.uk/lexus/avatar.jpg. Simple! You aren't uploading the picture to LOC website, simply a pointer to it on your own webspace. If you don't follow the above, but have the picture on your OWN machine, then the picture doesn't get displayed when you're not connected. I hope this helps but, if you want me to do it for you, I will. I need the URL of your webspace (see your ISP), your password and the picture that you want to use. You can always change the password when I've done it for you. Goes for anyone.............. Paul
  5. Hmmm. They never mentioned THAT when I bought mine! Still, just think of the VAT I saved :D
  6. Aaahhh. Thought it was a bit too easy.......!!
  7. hey, Blue. That looks quite good. But, all, I looked at my IS today and there is a lip along the bottom of the rear bumper, and you can get behind this lip. Would these sensors not be OK installed there? It's about an inch backwards from the farthest point of the bumper, I know, but you're never really going to be that tight, or rely on one of these devices if you are. Just thought it would be an easy install, rather than taking the bumper off?
  8. Did you like them so much you bought the company? Seriously, I'm going to take a look and may U2U for more info, if that's OK?
  9. Don't go walking down Bath Road in Slough, will you?:D You could always carry a battered cod in the glovebox to smack 'em with
  10. Sounds like the in-built coffee percolator, to me Ask the dealer to check the air-con levels, if I were you? Try leaving the air-con OFF and see if it continues? Great to see someone local joining the club, too............
  11. PEEPS!! It's a chain letter ..............:(
  12. I've got the Flux Capacitor on mine - it's under the boot lock. Remember?
  13. I've had time to have a think about the skirts, and I've chatted with the fitter. I don't think that the skirts will come off too easily now they've been glued, will they? He has suggested that he could coat the tape with some kind of primer for rubber and them pencil in the tape with a thin brush, after masking. He's excellent at his job, and I could trust him to do it right - he even suggested doing a patch and removing the paint with thinners if it didn't work too well. Gonna sleep on it a while, but I really think that I DON'T want it leaving as it is. I must say, I'm pretty disappointed at the design, and the things aren't cheap.................... :(
  14. Excellent turn out for the Northern Meet, even though Jodrell was a non-starter! It was good to put faces to names eventually. Hope you all got back OK........... Took a few piccies whilst out - remember, the car's the star! Northern Meet pictures Thanks for a good day out.
  15. Thanks for the photo's. I don't know what to do now. You got blue inserts on the body, too?
  16. Well, had the skirts fitted today (piccies later), but I'm not too happy at the minute. The skirts come with double sided tape, which is grey in colour. Now, I don't know whether the fitter's made a mistake, but you can see this tape when the skirts are on! I'm going to have to get him to paint this, to blend it in. If you've had skirts, can you see/feel the tape on yours? It looks like it should be there, to form a bond, but it sticks out like a sore thumb, unpainted. Did you get yours painted BEFORE it was fitted to the car, or what? Confused? Yep. Disappointed? Defo.:(
  17. So, everything's confirmed for Sunday, then? What about U2Uing some moby numbers, just in case?
  18. Yep, that's the idea of fogs - they penetrate below the fog level to light the road - headlights and high beam scatter light upwards that reflects on the water particles (fog) in the air. This comes straight back at you to blind you. Look at the packs of lights in Halfords, etc to see the light pattern emitted by various types of light..............
  19. Wasn't that in a James Bond film? I believe that the septics have the capability to turn down the power of the signal, or even turn it off completely, in the event of conflicts or threats. What about the speed thing? Can yours display your current speed?
  20. Just look at the cars and drivers that DO drive around with their fogs on, and you'll probably decide against it!!
  21. Welcome to the club!! Just think of it this way: the one in London was probably scratched, high mileage, nasty interior (!), needed new tyres and had been hammered. Yours hasn't. There. You can sleep nights, now! Hope you enjoy your IS as much as I do.......
  22. On the Top Gear website, they say about the Lexus Sat Nav "the optional satnav appears to be permanently 50 yards off the mark". How do you find yours? My Sat Nav is a portable Garmin model, and it seems spot on. Also, do the Lexus in-builts have a speed readout? Mine does but, in the Lex and in my previous car, my speedo in the dash reads more than the speed on the Sat Nav. BUT, when I use it in the States, it's spot on and the two read the same!! Weird. Really weird.
  23. Theres an auction going on on eBay, for 17" alloys and tyres. Take a look at this
