  1. Yep, plenty of stone chips on my black IS220d, no different to my IS300 and IS200.
  2. Got to add in the cost of fixing all those rattles ... :winky:
  3. Not sure what you mean, but Apple do this for the iPod Nano iPod + Nike My understanding is that you don't have to buy the Nike shoes but can get a pouch of eBay which allows the sensor to be attached to your shoe laces.
  4. Considering the time you posted this, when do you sleep? :D I'm OK it's only 20.04 where I am :winky: Today was a working from home day! Wonder what they changed, maybe those new illuminated boot/pertrol cap switches are a tad lighter :D
  5. Sorry folks, but I'm just glad I didn't buy an oiler Did you really choose the first ever Lexus diesal for the economy? I'm happy with the economy (eventually) and I love the torque and acceleration you get when overtaking :) And as a plus point I get to wake up my miserable neighbours when I leave at 05:45 in the morning :D - it really does sound like a mashed up London taxi from the outside.
  6. I'm back to getting 45 mpg since the injectors were swapped out. I had a couple of weeks where it wasn't so good (35-40mpg) but has now gone back to normal.
  7. AFAIK not in the European market, I think the US can spec it a program option
  8. The US got the memory function but not the UK.
  9. I used a cheapy cable from Halfords and it works fine. The only thing I have to do is turn the volume to max on the iPod and then adjust using the MM volume controls.
  10. Does this mean you could transfer all phonebook entries from your K800i in one go? Also, does anyone use or know the purpose of the groups for the BT MM phone?
  11. Is this LED the one that is bang smack in the centre of the other roof LEDs. I noticed this the other day for the first time in my IS220d. It lights us mu cup holder and allows me to find me coffee in the dark :)
  12. IS220d SE. Mid 40s, mostly motorway driving. Utterly reliable. Good luck with your choice. IS220d SE. Mid 40s, mostly motorway driving. Utterly reliable. Good luck with your choice.
  13. We own an 807 and an IS220d. I would say that the 220d wins hands down except: * NO rattles in my 807. * NO nanny festures - I can enter a NAV destination as I drive along if I wish to. * Where's the video input on the 220d - I can plug an external video source into the 807 and output it to the screen. * NO stonechips on the 807, more mileage on the 807, yet the 220d is peppered. * I can also send and receive text messages on the 807's telephonic system. Not as "convenient" as the 220d bluetooth though. The 220d cost me £8k more than the 807. Whilst in every other way the 220d is a more refined and better car, Lexus could still learn a thing or two from the French and really improve the car.
  14. I think the 220d will be quicker when overtaking (50-70) but I have no proof to back this up. The 220d feels quicker overtaking than my previous IS300.
  15. On further inspection mine is a different colour too, shows how much notice I take. Scott One of the buttons is in the shade :D
  16. Welcome back Jamboo! Glad that you've got your car sorted now. I've now got problems with mine which will have to be sorted after christmas... * Takes 2-3 attempts to get the car started and this involves reving the engine. If I don't rev the enginge hard it just stalls :( * Fuel consumption has dropped to 38-40 mpg - no change in route or driving conditions. * Returned to the car t'other day to be greeted with a flat battery - first time ever for me with a Lexus. Still don't know why but I'm now forever checking lights, interior lights etc when I park up. I'm still pleased with the car though.
  17. Those boot and filler cap buttons don't look right, seems to be too much blanking plate around them
  18. That's because the sport has different gear ratios. My non-sport IS220d now does 60mph in sixth since I had all the injectors changed.
  19. I thought the same tonight on the way home, parked up at the garage and cleaned all lights, still didn't make much difference. The wife's 807 (non HID) knocks spots off the IS220s lights. Perhaps we have low energy light bulbs :)
  20. Sounds about right with a 50/50 split. I'm getting mid forties with a 10/90 split, 90 being motorway.
  21. Congrats on the new car - same colour combination as mine. With regards to the licence you can set the orange speed warning to come on at, for example 85 mph. I use this as a visual when I'm forgetting how fast I'm going. You will also (allegedly) see the red circle of light at 100 mph ;). You also get a blue flashing light and audible warning when you reach 140 mph, but I've not tested this yet
  22. Looks good, my first IS200 was plat ice as well, nice and easy to keep clean and looks clean evan when it's dirty, unlike black.

  24. Anything is possible but I think it will cost way, way more than you'd want to spend. It's not just the head unit but also the ML amp, speakers, rear camera etc. It would probably be cheaper to trade your 220d in for another 220d with MM and suck up the difference. Or, the other way to go is aftermarket with regards to sat nav, bluetooth, rear park camera etc.
