Hello to everyone in the RX forum
Acquired a 2016 RX450h premier a few weeks ago first night drive in it tonight. all pretty much as expected (looks almost the same as my GS300h)
however i did notice that the thumbwheels for all of the air vents are not illuminated at night. They are in the GS but it is a 2018 model. had to get in later and check!
Does anyone know if they should be illuminated as i cant find a mention of it in the manuals
cheers
David
I have had a GS300h exec 2018 for the last 26000 miles at an average mpg of 42.79 (min 34 to max 46.9) which includes regular trips to Devon and back down the M5 😞
My GS300 was part ex'd for my current car 18/12 ago (2005 GS300) only got few hundred from dealer to avoid dealing with anyone else. within a few weeks appeared on autotrader for approx 10 times the amount i got for it. this i think might have been in birmingham but sold in Stoke. At the time i asked them what they did with the part exs and they said they went straight into the auction market. so someone bought it to make a quick profit
called lexus stoke few days ago to sort a tyre out Big hole in sidewall :((. whilst on phone they asked about bringing it for recall but i had filled with fuel onl 2 days before. took it today to have tyhre replaced . tyre hadnt arrived but they said they would keep it do the tyre later and the recall work despite full tank. came home in courtesy UX
I have window deflectors on my gs3300h they were already installed when i bought the car (poassibly lexus own make). I am not sure what they actually do. I never drive with the window open only a small way. I think they create wind noise at motorway speeds. I havent worked out a way to remove them yet as i cant work out how they are attached. the dealer has offered to take money from me to work out how they can be removed!.
Grumpy from Stoke
Only used RSA for last 10days in new 2018Gs300 . It seems to show a lot of random numbers including 90 and 120 whilst on a motorway. I agree that the temporary restrictions and exit from them is particularly troublesome.

Just under 8years 55313 miles at 29.44mpg (approx 8550litres of fuel ). Usual selection of consumables shocks ,brakes , a bit of exhaust. Engine never faltered. but regularly serviced.
Cant complain hope the new one behaves similarly

that arrangement looks very similar to the GS. the sleeve was definitely plastic and the cross brace was folded steel. as you drop the battery in the rear most bolt for the retainer bar is only hooked in a slot witha plastic clip stopping it falling off. i hit mine with the battery on the way in and the bolt fell into the battery tray. so therefore struggled to position and get the nut on! only just thought about it now but perhaps a cable tie could be used to stop it falling in
Forgot to mention that the new battery was perhaps 1-2mm taller than old one (which seems to have been an under sized battery anyway) so the strap across the top had to be bent slightly so it would fit across . bit of afiddle but sorted ok. i suppose it also depends where the is250's battery is
D4S is the one (certainly for 2005 gs300 mk3).
i got one from a toyota dealer while on holiday and they charged £5 for fitting admittedly the bulb was £75.

i bought this and both work charging galaxy and old iphone. one in gs300 centre box and the other in previa
all my satnav discs have looked like the one on the left. the one one the right i would guess would be a dvd of manuals or similar but would only run on computer not car
