A little topic for you all I just found out?

I was talking to a old friend the other day that used to test drive the LEXUS GS300 mk2 when they first came out.

He said if you stand a pound coin on end, on top of the engine while ticking over it should stand up and not fall over,

So I tried it and guess what it works and I counld not believe my eyes.

TRY IT FOR YOURSELVES

and what if it drops ..and gets stuck some where in engine....hmmm i think im gona give it a miss and play £1 lottery :)

no space on the LS400 for it to drop

when i had mine (LS400) we did it with a 50p piece and red lined it and that stayed put

havent done it on my gs300 sport, as its 10 years old

I remember watching old Top Gear when I was a kid- they balanced a pound coin on a LS400 engine at tickover and it didn't fall over.

It's not as impressive the original LS400 advert with glasses on the bonnet running at full speed on a rolling road.

thats cool, i dont remember that

i think the LS400 then was a much nicer looking car than the later models
