  2. Something drawing power from the Battery Then... ie ..Dashcam Maybe..... check your Battery Connections are Tight..Wiring shorting somewhere Possibly.. Anything Running in the background...You need to check..!!
  3. I was in the exact same position and had four (non-run flat) Nexen Tyres fitted by Leicester Lexus. Admittedly I now carry two cans of tyre gunk. I, like you thought that I'd made the wrong decision buying the UX but since the tyre change I've had passengers comment on how quiet my car is. The terrible road conditions around the country certainly do not help but I'm sure that all cars are affected the same. Now all I regularly suffer from is the fact that the passenger seat belt clip always bangs on the side of the car as it doesn't lie flat until I reach over and straighten it. Secondly - my tin of Smints rattles when down to the last few in the tin!
  4. Those headlight washers are a bit like the toolbox flashlight, there for a purpose, rarely used but absolutely essential to be present 😀
  5. The Ls400 is far far superior to the 2006 Legend 3.5ltr tho' it is ............ it's just that she indoors prefers driving the smaller and underpowered Legend cf the beauty of the 4ltr V8 😂 Malc at long long last I've found a replacement radiator from Autodoc ( on line ) at @£148 and hopes it should be couriered to me within a few days now ..... at 61% discount to their book price but way under the Honda Main Dealer at £995 !
  6. I also had a 1987 Accord 2.2i before my Legend. My Legend had the 2.7 V6 engine... My Legend was a nice car but when I changed it for my first LS 400... I was gobsmacked at how nice the LS 400 was...!!!
  7. those damnable headlight washers eh ! Q just for info please ............ have the plastic headlights lenses ever been professionally cleaned ............. or replaced ? I'm thinking that glass headlamps finished with my Mk3 Thanks Malc

  9. ….what doe’s not work or is irrepairable on my year 2000 Lexus LS 400 ? ☹️ this, understandably, with the odometer currently showing 170.688 mile’s, is likely to be an extended litany of broken and / or non operating feature’s / control’s and electronic system’s 😲. eye’s down, everyone 🙄, this is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth ! 🙄: * the head light high pressure spray washer’s do not work 😲! the motor hum’s so , surprise, surprise the nozzles will be obstructed with detritus. I hear the ripple of discontent amongst you all - some already making for the exit’s in disgust ! ☹️ the cause is lost - this Car is not going to sell. now ! please raise your hand, of those of you remaining, if you have ever used this feature ? thought not - in 68 year’s of non incident driving, not once ( following introduction ) have I ever needed, desired or been inclined to want to wash my headlight’s. have alway’s thought spraying muddy headlight’s cannot be effective ! wiper blade’s - maybe. owned a mint MB A124 cabriolet for many year’s ( significant other adored it! ) fitted with a blade cleaning system. keen to maintain the condition visited local Main Dealer for 2 h/l wiper blades’s - £46 please, sir !😲…ordered/ purchased, of course- had to have them ! *speedometer needle, occasionally, stick’s at 0 mph on starting car and proceeding to move ! a damn good spank to the left of centre on the instrument cowl quickly resolve’s this very intermittent problem ! 🤪 *the, actually a Pioneer, 7 speaker ( include’s rear shelf base woofer 🐕‍🦺 ), FM/LW, CD player system’s all work perfectly - the Cassette Player remain’s untested ( collection now in landfill ☹️ ). how much better can the Mark Levinson system be in the Lexus LS 430 ? - doubt much. by October ‘21 I wanted an in-car DAB / phone upgrade. the local Halford’s store was tasked with installing The Pure Highway DAB ( @ £179 ) add-on kit, complete with wireless remote control fitted on the centre console. initially, the system worked well - miraculously, to me, the Highway name was displayed on the Radio display screen ! then the DAB transmission’s became corrupted ( only listen to Radio 2, Radio 4 and Radio 4 Extra - what a sad old ‘git am I 😳 ). long story short, the Pioneer system was now elderly and was unable to sustain a DAB signal-£149 away 🙄 ! maybe a replacement receiver unit could deliver a signal - seen them for £100 on flea bay. ( my first post doe’s confess the system is ‘wired up’ 🙄 ). incidentally, the historic LS 400 problem of pixelating digital display’s was long gone on this, the final serie’s of the Lexus LS 400’s - they all display, fine ! 😃 * an irrepairable issue ? a chip, the size of half a match head, on driver’s side of windscreen. on screen when purchased. approached national screen supplier ( name start’s with auto ) for their mobile team to simply fill chip - they declined my invitation and recommended a £600+ screen replacement, thank you but no thank you Auto…..! Halford’s filled chip for £40 ! I can’t see chip driving in a forward direction it’s that minute - mot guy did, though - has to list it for the rest of time ( unless you want to spend 14%+ of the sale price to replace it ! ) 🙄 🙄 ….and there we have it, dear reader, my Lexus LS 400 is 23.5 year’s old - 170.688 miles showing and just 3 item’s listed as not correct ! listen to me, the Car cost c £ 55.000 in the year 2000, that is £ 101.500 in today’s money ! frankly, I am disgusted, outraged and find it totally intolerable and unacceptable that this, flagship, vehicle from such a highly regarded and respected manufacturer ( Lexus ) is , clearly, in such an appalling and near undriveable condition - as I write this I am quivering with both rage, anger and frustration. shame on you, Lexus ! yes, my Lexus LS40 is still For Sale at £4.495 but, based on the above, outrageous and appalling review, I beseech you, indeed pray, YOU WILL NOT PURCHASE this vehicle - let me take the hit, let it be my cross and penance to bear, I shall thrash it unmercifully to within an inch of it’s life with an ash tree branch until such time I can arrange to have the car collected and cast into the bowel’s of a local Crusher - perhaps, to join her ( him or other ) wicked / evil sister, Christine in the great scrap yard in the sky ! RIP OYY 655 ! 😲😲😲 anthony 😃
  10. Indeed. I blaze my music almost at maximum everyday hence why on my previous German cars I always intentionally bought the 600-700+ Amp battery’s knowing this can cause a drain on the battery. When I bought the battery Lexus did say to me it would last three years as well which I didn’t believe them at the time lol.
  11. A very good point! if you have the receipt and can get it back to the original retailer, then give them the problem. They’ll check for faulty cells, poor charging rate and any unauthorised current draw. Favourites might be something like an interior light - or even a sidelight. Yes, there should be an audible warning but on an older car that might not be working. Or it might be but you can’t hear it! That kept happening to me with our other car. A combination of a very soft, high pitched ‘bong’ and my poor hearing often resulted in my leaving the lights on! Yes, that’s what my GP said….😊

  13. Still under warranty then? A lot come with at least a 3 year guarantee.
  14. Batteries nowadays don't seem to be lasting as long as they used to,have seen two year old cars/vans with flat batteries
  15. Ordered one for the other half in October 23 and it arrived in March, we was told they was coming through quick but because of the problems with shipping some was taking little longer as they was being diverted on a safer route, Really impressed with the big roomy feel for a small car
  16. Interesting, pretty sure it works correctly on the GS as the outline on the mirrors is very noticeable but not sure about the other 2.
  17. Hi Jerry, when I read you had been on the .com LOC I couldn’t resist 😀 Welcome to the LOC UK forums.
  18. Hallo Jerry und willkommen im LOC, wir haben viele hilfsbereite und freundliche Mitglieder hier auf unserer deutschen Seite 😀
  19. These tyres are at 2.3 bar as recommended. Also this model does not have the adaptive suspension system which may have improved the ride. It is on the F sport model. Obviously I did not do enough research. From a lot of checking on the web the Bridgestone run flat tyres are considered noisy and hard. I believe Lexus now are supplying Dunlops which are reported to be quieter and offer a more comfortable ride. The UX is ok on the motorway but on A and B roads where most of our driving is done I am not happy with it. The UX was the perfect size as there is just 2 of us and size issues re back seats and boot was not an issue for us. I will be switching to a new Corolla.
  20. Actual today 33 with remaining range with A/C quoted as 11.4, so not too far off?
  21. I’ve always admired the look of the Prelude My b-in-law from whom I bought the Legend had a Prelude prior ….. very smart car 👍 Malc
  22. I maybe wrong but I would be surprised if the light reactive function is still operational after all these years. I had a BMW with that type of mirror and one got smashed by a careless van driver. A new mirror glass on it’s own was £400 for a replacement. A good friend of mine who has worked for BMW for years said after a few years the chemical in the mirror eventually leaks out so they no longer work. Hence I had a standard one fitted which was still £120.
  23. Hi thank for replay. I’ll order a new battery this week and pray the issue disappears and goes away as this is the first time happening since I’ve owned the car and putting in a new (the Lexus Panasonic) in January 2021. FYI I have the mark Lev sound system so majority of the time daily I do tend to play my music almost at full power as well for three years straight I can imagine that would have a negative effect on the battery over time?
