Hi William, Sorry to see your going to leave us, don't forget the ownership of a Lexus is not a requirement so you will always be welcome on the LOC. Wishing you and your family a Happy 2016.

Mike.

Would be very interested to hear your comparison and your reasons for changing to a BMW?

First, seats in Bmw are not nearly as comfortable. Also, no holder for my glasses when I park up.

7 Series more engaging, by that I mean you have to drive it. unlike the Ls which you just glide in.

Why I changed. Well I never did have a BMW besides, I have never keep a car longer than 2 years.

I will drive it for a while and post again on the difference between the cars in real life. William

William, I hope you enjoy your 'new' motor. I would have liked to have had a drive in a 7 series just to compare it to my Mk4, especially one of the earlier older style cars. The same goes for an XJ Jag, (I love the look of them), but I'm still very happy to be wafting around in my LS for now. Can't really see myself in anything else to be honest. Dull, boring to look at ? Maybe to some people, but what car is as comfy, as smooth and as reliable as an LS?........ Exactly.

I have just been for a 120 mile drive and I tend to agree with you I have been unable to get the seat just right for me. So its possible I will be looking for a Ls600 to get back that Wafting Felling. I will give it until Patricks Day Then decide. William

Well that did not take long.My Ls 430 is on its way to a new home. Perhaps the new owner will come on here and benefit from the collective wisdom. All the best guys, I promise I will post around Patricks Day to share my feelings on the 7 Series. William

I had a 4.2 Daimler Jaguar XJ6 3 years old at the time and it is a nice car but oh so boring to drive. The straight 6 cyl engine was a great engine but it didn't have the excitement the V8 Lexus has. The Lexus has a much better seating position over the Daimler which was a lower car and you didn't have the view down there you have with the Lexus. Mike.
