The Rx330 Is Not An Suv

Greetings,

I just wanted to warn owners to be extremely careful if you plan to use the RX330 off the pavement. I just replaced the plastic splash guard, at a cost of $375, that fits under the engine compartment. We were unaware of running over any object or hitting any obstruction that could have caused this. After spending considerable time talking to Lexus they don't seem to feel as if this design might be short sighted. What is sad is that the RX300 used a metal splash guard that would have probably only dented if you were to strike something. I am now beginning to feel as if this vehicle was really just designed as a large car that they could call an SUV. What I found really surprising was how Lexus could care less about my satisfaction.

its not really an "off road" vehicle though is it?! its what they like to call a " grass and gravel" vehicle, just a fancy normal run around town vehicle to be honest.

If you want to go off road get a nissan patrol or a toyota landcruiser - actually forget the landcruiser as the gearbox bell housings snap :o
