UK's most stolen cars...

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just read the following and thought I'd share...:

BMW X5

Mercedes-Benz C-class

Range Rover Sport

Mercedes-Benz E-class

Land Rover Discovery

BMW M3

Range Rover Vogue

Audi RS4

Mercedes-Benz ML

Mercedes-Benz C63

Average stolen car value was sub £26k, which the article suggests is down to more prestige vehicles 3+ years old are nicked, with keyless entry being the cited reason (in the prestige bracket).

They suggest that steering locks could be coming back in fashion!

I see all new Lexus' have keyless entry now. Do you all take extra precautions, such as steering lock. To visibly deter a thief? I've got a RX 400h and I don't have keyless entry, but I always put on my crook lock on the steering wheel as a visual deterrent.

My last decade of car ownership I have been waiting for the driveway to be empty in the mornings...   VW R32 Golf, Audi S4, BMW X5.

Now I own a Lexus I sleep soundly :)
