Scratches underneath front bumper

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

There is a horrible straight line of pencil scratches underneath the front bumper. They are only visible if I get down on my knees and look underneath the car.

Also, got a huge scrape made by the previous owner underneath the bumper as well.Partially viisble only when looking at the front of the car..

Was given a quote of £150 by my mechanic to do up the whole bumper.

Ideal to do this or just ignore since they are not visible to the eye?

The bumper is plastic so wont rust or anything and if its not visible then there's not really any point in doing it. BUT, like all things it depends on how bothered you are about it.

I wouldnt be bothered and im picky. Reason as soon as you go over a large speed hump,or hit a big pot hole it will just be the same.

And you will be £150.00 lighter. Seems expensive for a bumper repaint anyway, painter i use would charge around a £100.00.

I used to live in Kingsbury, and it sounds like you might be close, so based on my experience of the roads around there, I wouldn't bother since it will probably get scratched again soon.
