If you are new to driving in France & Spain

Been a regular driver to Spain through France via Eurotunnel since 2015 and have found these resources invaluable when it comes to finding best fuel stops:

when I was driving a diesel, the lowest cost for diesel I achieved was 91 cents/litre! Girona area

A friend of mine has just moved to Quillan and blimey that looks a great spot, bang on the bottom of the Languedoc region by the med just before you cross the Pyrenees

I'll be going there when covid vanishes methinks

I'm an inveterate european traveller in my ancient Ls400 whenever I can get across the channel

Nice, love driving through Europe, can't wait for the turn in the RX, alas it will be next summer but might try and sneak a trip over Easter if the PET scheme is still in place.

A good informative post Martin, many thanks for that.

I`ve been doing same as you since 2005. Our paths might have crossed some time---but I was not in the Lexus!

Well i was belting up and down in an 2005 e320 avantgarde estate, it ate the miles and sadly ran it in to the ground with 140K on it. held off purchasing a replacement car to ferry two passengers and 3 dogs down to Spain. Now with the RX and sadly down to just two dogs, hopefully it will be bliss.

Yes, we have had to take a year off Martin. My Elegance Estate just loved rolling up the miles and now sits on 247,006. I never take the GS.

I hope that the Frenchies have taken down those 90kmph signs as the National Speed Limit reduced to 80 LAST JULY !!

They pretty much have...except for the odd bits of dual carriageway (with a central divider or not) which are still 90.
