Upgrade satnav and stereo

I really want to update this or replace this system with an android and more up to date system but still have the reversing camera. This system is so dated and the satnav hasn’t had an up date since manufacturer 2009. It also doesn’t take update discs. Apparently I need to take it to a Lexus main dealer for a key. But got quoted £250 plus vat and 5 hours for updates. So I want to replace instead.
what can I replace it with ??????????

thanks

Satnav should just be your phone. It'll be 100x better than any in-car satnav.

Yes that’s what I’ve currently been doing is running my Iphone satnav via the usb and using it that way .

i fitted a Vline grom upgrade on my IS300H, it was so much better.

apple carplay, google maps and the ability to download your own apps, so much better than standard.

I looked on the website, it looks great but £500 isn’t cheap

Try Sygic as a navigation app.  I find it really works well and has a lot of low cost add ons that keep you up to date with maps and speed traps

I tried Sygic but I think TomTom is better because it monitors your speed through average zones for you which is quite handy.

I got the VLine 2 to bring my infotainment system bang upto date without having to change headunit. The VLine lives in the glovebox and I gotta say it is not 100% reliable at times but has everything you could want and is future proof. Yes £500 is a lot but like I said options (apps ) are almost unlimited, YouTube, IPlayer, Netflix, etc. And the dash stays stock.

have you seen these threads? Lots of pics.

We have built in Tom Tom in our Captur, and Sygic is far more up to date in terms of mapping.  The Tom Tom in the Captur I think is a cut down (special for Renault maybe)version as we don't have the average speed feature (whereas my stand alone, data connected Tom Tom does).

I'm investigating at the moment if the Vline is draining my Battery overnight.  It's supposed to turn off completely after an hour or so (according to their help desk), but it's the only non-Lexus system on my car - and my new Battery is definitely draining faster than it should.

One plus with the VLine is the option to add ‘Skins’ or front end pages and make the screen icons very modern as the Grom ones are very Blocky’ and basic.

Can I ask how you do that?  I'd love to do it to mine!

Edited to say I found Car Launcher AG on Google Play.  Now to try it.
