I wonder if it’s normal to hear a really nasty sound when I change direction and the car moves backwards. It is a vague, not a normal warning sound. It's also pretty powerful. The car is brand new, I have driven it for 100 km.

Yes, there is a pedestrian alert sound when reversing and moving under 19kph and the petrol engine isn't running.

I found it quite loud on my NX loaner, especially when reversing for some reason...

You would have thought that being a Lexus there would be a Sergeant Wilson voiced announcement “Excuse me but this Lexus is reversing, please stand clear” 😀

Mine has a Japanese lady telling me that my ETS card has expired for the toll roads every time I start it.
