Engine cranking over but won't start Ls430

Done work on engine over the last few weeks new timing belt fitted but not start could it be the engine immobilizer or something else. This is my 1st time on lub lexus I would be grateful if you could let me know. Thanks KH.

Occam's Razor is simply a principle that states "The simplest explanation is usually the best one".

In this context, you've been working on the engine, so the simplest explanation is that the problem is a result of something you've done (or not done, or something you took off or forgot to replace etc., etc) during the course of that work, rather than being something completely unrelated, like the immobiliser for instance.

Are you sure the timing marks and the alignment is correct and not, say, the belt being one tooth out maybe? Did you reconnect all sensors or other wiring that you had to disconnect for the work?

Hi Kenneth and welcome to the LOC, if you wanted Club Lexus they are over the pond in the USA but have funny names for things like fender and tires, stick with us and you’ll be fine 😀

When you say “not start” is it cranking or doing nothing?

Does the alarm/immobiliser light go out with the ignition turned on or remain flashing?
