Alarm going off

Hello all. Wonder if you can help please?

Have a 2014 Ct200h and this evening my alarm has sounded on two occasions. No apparent signs of how and.why (windows up etc).

Located in UK and currently experiencing a heatwave. Any suggestions as to why this may be happening? In meantime have turned off the interior sensors courtesy of the override button near the interior front lights. My guess is it may be an insect trapped in the car and triggering the sensors maybe?

Thank you

If heat should be a problem we would have had it here. Summer all year. No problems here.

Have you had any alarms when cabin protection is off? If not you very well could be right about the insect disturbing the sensors.

Same here, my alarm was going off multiple times for no apparent reason, then after the third time I opened the door to find a fly in the car. It must have been setting off the motion sensor.

I had the moth problem 2 late nights on the trot, I think he woke up and was trying to get out to the street lamp via the front screen. Much to the delight of my nearest neighbour wtf!, little beggar 😅

I have heard cases....granted with other cars.....that locking the door and pressing the keyfob too quickly causes this alarm issue due to the computer not completing its sequence.

If it happens again maybe try locking the door waiting a moment...and then locking with the fob
