Life here

Wake

Clear neighbours cat poo off back garden

Watch tele news

Go to Aldi

Keep an eye on dogs ( with owners standing by as if nothing is wrong! )using our front garden as a toilet

Evening - Glass of german beer

Nice home cooked dinner with a good wine

Watch Tele

Go to bed

Get up for a pee

Back to bed

Get up for breakfast and pills

Start all over again wondering if it will ever stop raining

But hey, I'm an optimist I wonder what the miserable folk do every day

Pills only once a day. Lucky you.

Might take the car out tomorrow!

Do you lock it with the remote or just with the key ?
Car Battery will last longer with just the key .

Life especially when retired can sometimes seem a bit the same every day and poor weather doesn’t help. However I am thankful for this in that no big life threatening issues are happening and hopefully summer will arrive soon to go out for a nice drive with the top down.

Good plan. Using fob at the moment basking in the safety net of my new Battery.

Still she waits in her lair....tomorrow, I promise.

Looks suspiciously like she's thinking of throwing a con rod.     That's an old fashioned joke for our younger viewers!🫢

Well after 20 mile back from tacky coast to mountain loveliness with the top down, I can confirm that Panama hats stay put without recourse to string or velcro.

Road was in middle of pic, dodging the mountains.

The briefest visit to the "Costa del Sol" has made me realise it is not for me!

Some of the construction of these beachside 70's 80's apartments is simply shocking.

White plaster falling off to reveal the flimsiest brickwork.

Certainly not Lexus standard!

May I have the temerity to correct your statement  - " Certainly not old Lexus standard!

When we lived in France I used to wonder why people used to say "Jerry built" when you see the build quality of French houses???.

They don't even use bricks or foundations or gutters need I go on.....

The term isn't what people mainly associate it with. I quote;

Badly or hastily built with materials of poor quality. The term is mid 19th century, and is sometimes said to be from the name of a firm of builders in Liverpool, or to allude to the walls of Jericho, which fell down at the sound of Joshua's trumpets.

Steve, you saw the Costas but missed “ simply the best “ by steering clear of the beautiful built super high quality city of Salamanca …… it really is truly breathtaking in the very best of “ build quality “ once one’s  walking inside the city itself

Don’t miss it the next time you chase thru Espana  🤔

There is a huge amount of Spain I have not yet seen. However, a part I find very attractive stretches from Calpia to Denia with Javea being smashing. I have driven that area quite a bit and the colours of the flowers etc are not to be missed. Contrast that with what is just off the edge of that area  - Benidorm (Brits by the Sea) !

Last Autumn we did Madrid and while there got a rail card to visit some great places nearby. I would highly recommend a visit.

Avila, Segovia, Toledo, Escorial, Aranjuez. 70€ for a travel pass for the week covers all of it.

Jimena de la Frontera today. Off the beaten track a little with a castle obviously. Griffin Vultures a plenty.

Great pic, but I see you have a problem with random Spanish guys wandering into shot to pose your car.

El Cid ……..  passing by too maybe 🤣

With the huge number of British tourists it's more likely to be  El Sid.

More top down driving but the mountain roads are so tortuously bendy that average speed drops to about 20mph.

Luckily the SC encourages lazy driving.

Oh, saw another Lexus today. First in 3 weeks. Obvs not a 430.
