Hi all,

The day maybe nearing to let my IS300 go!!!!! I am trying to get some idea on pricing really. ANybody got any idea's???

IS300 Navigator, Platinum Ice, Sports Grill and Lexus Fit Mudflaps. Registered April 2003. 25k on the clock. Excellent throught, cleaned twice weekly, no curbed alloys etc......

I have looked in Car guides, but a lot of them do not list the IS300.....so answers on the back of a postcard......PM's welcome if interested!

Cheers

I know just what you mean, Parkers etc. don't seem to think the car exists even though it's been out since 2001/2!

A quick scan for IS300 with satnav in the Lexus Approved pages & AutoTrader lists:

  • 01(51) - Mileage: 37,500 Price: £18,995
  • 01(51) - Mileage: 24,210 Price: £18,988
  • 02(52) - Mileage: 8,000 Price: £19,988
  • 02(52) - Mileage: 35,500 Price: £19,995
  • 02(52) - Mileage: 35,500 Price: £20,495
  • 02(52) with styling kit - Mileage: 20,510 Price: £21,950
  • 03(53) - Mileage: 6,500 Price: £22,795
  • 03(53) - Mileage: 7,418 Price: £21,995
  • 03(53) with styling kit - Mileage: 8,000 Price: £23,995

These are all dealer prices, so what does the dealer give you? Two to three grand less than they sell it for? Plus forecourt prices will be a grand more than the private price? Mind you, this is just me guessing! Think the manager of Lexus Edinburgh is a member here, he'd probably have a pretty good idea...

put an ad in autotrader at 22K and get ready to fight the hagglers? what does everyone else say

The only guide that shows the IS300 is CAP.

CAP is split into 4 sections, Retail, Trade Clean, Trade Average and Trade Below Average.

This guide tends to show what cars are achieving at auction but with Lexus having such a low through put (and IS300 even lower), it is sometimes not representative.

The figures for an 03 03 IS300 Navigator with 25,000 miles are -

Retail £18695

Clean £16350

Average £15450

Below £14400

The old adage still stands, ‘it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it’.

Rich, if you would like me to make an offer for the car, please email me on ireynolds at easternholdings dot co dot uk
