Hi chaps n chapess',

This is my first post so forgive any small errors. I just wanted to say and that 2 weeks ago I became the proud owner of an is200.

Details: box standard, Aztec, T reg, £12,900 bought from Lexus Manchester. I had been looking locally and found private sales not to be much lower than the dealers so I just went forit.

Gutted to find this morning guy in London selling V reg sport for £12,950.....

I hope to contribute to this board but I'll probably be asking more than advising as I'm so new to the world of Lexus....but I like it.

Just think of it this way: the one in London was probably scratched, high mileage, nasty interior (!), needed new tyres and had been hammered. Yours hasn't. There. You can sleep nights, now!

I agree, the one in London was probably in really bad condition, scratched from parking on the road all night and not well taken care of, yours is new and you know the complete history. They are truely great cars and I'm sure like the rest of us, you will find it gives you huge amounts of fun and enjoyment mixed with a great deal of pride.

Aviod Buying in London privately at all costs!!!:!: I live in London and when searching for my IS all I found was high mileage, scratched alloys and interiors that resemble a scrapyard's field-day (biting my tongue now). Eventually bought mine in a village nr Hatfield! I'm new here too, but the forums are great for finding answers...
