 Period of happynes was so short  A week a go, i changed y IS's clutch release ball joint, because that strange clicking-pinking noise from the center of my car's bottom. I mean when i floored the clutch the sound was gone, when i release it, the sound is back. Ok after changing the ball joint, sound was off and clutch was smooth for a week  , now it is coming back stronger and stronger :excl:

And the other thing is bothering me, my engine rattle at low revs, i mean when i begin to roll the sound is coming out, seems like it is not enough power or smthg. Is it normal or what? I feel concerned about it. I know that somewhere in forum it is discussed, but please, let me know what is this and what to do. Don't be cold-blooded and help me

Regards

I don't know if i can identify where exact is coming from, because it is only heard when i start in low revs, and i don't wanna go to my Lexus service, because i visited them too often and when i go there, they do not hear anything and they say there are no problems :/ they did diagnostics a month ago, and it was perfect. besides sound from clutch also comes only when the revs get as low as they can, on neutral. Any ideas?

And when You say it could be a lose heat shield or fuel injectors, is it very expensive?

i dont think this is the problem, but in my old volvo i had problems with same kind of rattle at low rev's, but that was due to my engine mounts and brackets been broken. it kept stalling and rev's where lower than usual. which caused it to vibrate.

Besides, it seems that my car can't really drive on the 2nd gear really slow (on bad bumpy gravel road), the revs are too low and the engine would stop if take my foot of accelerator pedal. I have to drive in 1st gear on that kind of road and to judder. Is it normal?

I have the same noise on my clutch. But then the car has done 92k now and is in desperate need of a new one.

With regards to the rattle, I have a similar problem when at low revs.

I don't even know if you can call it a rattle though as it resembles the sound of fluid with air being pushed under pressure. At first I thought it might be the spring on the throttle rattling about as it made a similar noise but it's not. The sound can only be heard when the car accelerates in low gears upto about 3.5k revs. The sound is only present inside the car and not under the bonnet. Like you, I have taken the car to Lexus and all appears to be fine.

Recenlty I have been experiencing problems starting the car when hot and the accleration has been laboured to say the least.
