hi all, new to this website/forum. I have been offered a year 2000 IS200 model (jap import) with 220bhp. In uk the standard output is 153 bhp I believe. Does anyone know if in Japan Lexus offered /offers high performance models. I love the idea of 220 bhp IS 200, but don't want to know if it's not standard. thanks a lot for your help.

Hi mate.. if its the performance your after ( ie 200 or 210BHP rather than 153bhp) make sure it has 4 cylinders,, as more and more people sell the 6 cylinder altezza advertising it as 200+bhp!! whereas the 6 cylinder altezza is identical to the UK 153BHP is200.... if i can help out in any other way... drop me a line.

yep it called the toyota altezza in japan but has 210bhp standard on a manual and 200bhp on auto/trip models

check out this it was owned by a old LOC member so well looked after.

Thats one nice Altezza!! Perhaps wish I thought of buying one of these. I love my IS 200 but the extra bhp would be great!!
