Oil For Service

Just a quick question - I've tried searching, but there don't seem to have been many threads on the subject, and no clear recommendations.

I've got my IS200 booked in for its 50k service in a week, and thanks to reading threads on here, I requested a quote with and without me providing the oil. If I provide it the cost will be £44 less, which seems worthwhile. So... can someone please tell me what type of oil I'm best going for? I know it has to be fully synthetic and 5W40, but what's best for a standard Lexus?

Also, they said that I will have to provide 4.2 litres of oil - does it usually come in 4l bottles, and are they just saying this to be awkward?

The engine needs over 4 litres.

You do not have to use full synthetic oil and 5W30 is the prefered choice according to the owners manual.

Always used Mobil 1 myself - left 2 cans in the boot - they used what they needed to and left the empty and part used cans in the boot after ('cos I always asked them too - not fool-proof but best way I could think of to ensure it ended up in my engine !!).
