and im not a fan of V6 engines.

well the plan was for an SC430 in 3 years i think the plans have changed don't like an engine i can't see properly though

went up to Lexus Chester today, and they also had a new GS300 in.

Some observations :)

I like it - its very nice in the flesh. The back end is still a bit off though, not too sure about that.

The interior looks better in the pictures. I liked the look of the dials. I liked the pop out controls for the boot etc.

But as a whole, I did not like the dash too much.

The arm rest may be "cleverer", but it in no where near as high. Can't imagine you could rest your arm on it like the old one.

But - the dash did look like the pics of the new IS. If thats what the new IS dash will be like, then its a massive improvement over the old model.

Externally, it was a very nice bluey / green, and it looked a lot better than the silver pics Lexus released. Think i just don't like silver cars ( )

It had a nice stance - the usual massive Lexus wheel arch gap was not present. Very nice elongated diamond clear side repeaters (which I am already wondering if they retrofit to the MKII :) )

I have been informed, that the New GS has now arrived @ Lexus Woodford.

So ................. I may pop along later, or tommorrow to have a look!

i went in to woodford yesterday and had a look at the GS

must say was very impressed, as Matt says those repeater lamps are

real nice.
