Toyota Mr2 Fog Light

I know this is a Lexus forum, but I thought this was kind of related, being Toyota, and I'm trying to help a friend.

He needs a front nearside fog light for a 1993 L UK MR2. Toyota have quoted around £96 plus VAT for the part, so we're trying to find one cheaper.

His are the clear lense type and import fog lights usually have the yellow filter and an extra connection that appears to be for some steering feature.

We've tried a few online salvage companies to no avail.

Does anyone know if the fog light is the same as other model Toyotas/Lexus, I know cars sometimes share parts (my GS side repeaters are the same as an MR2)?

Or does anyone know where we can get one or have one they don't want?

Not all imports have the steering fog lights.

Is the glass not available on it's own? Contact Chris, he will be able to tell you - and use your gold discount :)

believe it o rnot emjay my j reg mr2 had a colision with a badger 3 years ago, the front end was smashed up but i managed to salvage one of the front fog lights , its in my barn and im sure its the one with the yellow lense coz when i had them replaced i got the clear ones put in instead,

ill have a look tonite when i get home if you pm me if your still interested and havent found one
