Breakdown Cover...

Recommended Posts

okay.. having finally gotten some cover after about 3 or 4 years I wondered whether anyone else has breakdown cover on their Lexus?

They are notoriously reliable - but not infallable - so are you covered?

Im with the AA, have been for around 8 years....although the IS is reliable, rember that it covers you not the car so you could be in someone elses car who is not covered .....maybe could have done a poll :)

i didnt know that Rod, cheers! (since i have just joined RAC on a 2 for 1 offer)

I think the insurance-based breakdown cover is a rip-off - compare them like for like and your paying 10-25% more just to get it through your insurance company..

I renewed the Lexus/RAC cover when the 3 years ran out - well worth it I reckon.

I've called them out 3 times!!!! All when my old Renault broke down!!!!!

Me n the wife covered for any car we are in - £70 - can't beat that surely.

I'm still within the cover supplied with thet car :) so not really sure what level of cover that is, I assume its pretty comprehensive.

I'm still on my mums AA cover as part of the family membership as well, even though the address is obviously different :shifty:

Well worth having some sort of cover, if you don't recovery from a motorway will cost about £120 upwards, especially if the feds stick their nose in

I'm with the AA, dual membership with the Mrs was about £110

The thieving insurance co. wanted about £60 just for us on one of our cars whereas the AA is either of us in any car, even as a passenger or me on my bike.
