Clicking Clutch Noise

Recommended Posts

Hiya ive tried searching on this forum and can not find any one else with a similar problem, so here goes, when i depress the clutch about 1/4 of the way i hear a slight click noise. i only heard this recently. i have tried a google search on various other make and models and read it could possibly be a throw-out bearing of some sort. Would be great to have some feedback and put my mind to rest, as i have a biig journey to do in a couple days and wouldnt want any bad things happening.

Thanks again

this is quite common - and has been solved in other peoples cases by adding a small amount of lubricating oil to the pedal pivot point assy - while you are there check that the pivot assy has not become worn.

I have your solution!!!

On my old IS I had this exact problem for about a year, til I decided to get off my backside and do something about it.

Get right underneath where the linkage is for the clutch. From memory, there is a small pin like a 'split pin'. this had come loose allowing something to click whilst depressing the clutch. I took it to bits, tightened it up and it was like a new car to drive !!
