My mark 2 gs300 2003 intermittently squeals on roundabouts. *** knows where it comes from but it's been there since new (And no it's not tyres!). Sounded to me like the steering pump. Went to the dealer, they couldn't find anything - any ideas? Thanks, Marcus.

I would say it's your front brake pads... there's a thin metal tab on them that contacts the disc when they are worn telling you they need to be changed. My MK1 is doing exactly the same and I KNOW the pads need replacing - together with the discs too :crybaby: :winky:

Thanks, I know what you mean about the brake pad squeak, but they have only just been changed. It has done it consistently since new (38K miles). Cheers, Marcus.

OK mate... hopefully someone comes along with a solution :winky:

possible it is the accessory belt a little loose although that normally shows up on cold mornings not going around corners. If you think it's the power steering pump you should be able to make it do it if you perform some tight turns - maybe find an empty car park somewhere.
