On the original "Made In Japan" LP, the mastering was all fcked up - Blackmore's guitar was on the left feed and Jon Lord's Hammond was on the right feed. This was all corrected on the Remastered CD, with Blackmore correctly on the right and Lord correctly on the left.

BTW: Highway Star is the firm favourite for winning Top Gear's best driving music. Unbeatable - Ian Gillan wrote the song as fuel for the petrolheads!

I'll have to grab a copy of my sister's demo CD and upload an MP3 of "Hotel California", one of the lads in the band did a mean solo on it, about 2 minutes, recorded when they were a resident band in the Middle East. Not bad for a showband!

Anyone go to see Zeppelin @ Knebworth 1st gig August 1979?

I was the pup wearing a Judas Priest T-Shirt  :duh:

I would've gone, but I was only six at the time! :D

I saw Albert Lee live a few weeks ago - awesome - hailed (apparently) by Eric Clapton as the best guitarist in the world.

That's one hell of a recommendation!

Dave, I knew you were going to say Mr Adamson ;). Big Country - Quality.

Anyone see Hendrix do "Sunshine of My Love" (Clapton classic) - have to say that the Hendrix version is considerably better (makes Clapton look like a pup).

Freebird (Skynyrd) can't be beaten chaps
