Wheel Alignment

Hi all,

having changed the wheels from the MK I standard 15 inchers for the bigger 16 inch mk II's should I have the wheels re-aligned? Is the offset different or anything that would upset the suspension etc.?

Check to see that the tyre profiles tye up,or you might find the speedo being out.I think the offset will be the same.

Yes... and No? the LS400 has a tyre size range from 205mm to 225mm wide all with no direct geometrical compensation offerd by Lexus (thats the no) But the toe is set on the basis that the rolling resistance will encounter 205mm of contact, add 20mm to the width then the resistance must be higher. In addition the bigger diameter wheel has a greater rotating mass and will be harder to 'lift out' of a turn, this can be offset via a lower castor angle, that was the (yes).

Good reply wheels :) ,wish your place of work was a little closer to Bristol,could do with having my Aristo looked at now the wishbones have been replaced.
