Has Anyone Fitted The Trd Skirts, & Lips?

Has anyone fitted these themselves? From what I understand the skirts are simply bolted with a bit of bonding tape to keep them against the bodywork.

The front and rear lips require drilling - is this an easy thing (I am fairly competant) - they come with a fitting kit and instructions as I understand?

Any pics fitted would be a good thing too (so I can see what the finished result should look like  )

As you say Mark, sideskirts easy, front lip is easy (drill holes) TRD rear lip you have to take the bumper off to fit it, with the TTE rear lip just bolt on :D and yer come with fitting kit + instructions :D

TRD rear lip you have to take the bumper off to fit it

Balls

Never mind - needs must and all that. Is it just for access purposes that the bumper has to come off or is there witchcraft type bracketry that has to go on? I thought it was just an extension?

Anyone got any pics of the fittings (I apologise for being a demander of pictures all the time - please feel free to prod me with sticks)

Both access + bracketry (drill) :o but the TTE lip just bolts on to the bottom of your bumper :D no need to take it off :D

I just read on that thread that Bazza paid £400 for fitting

Is it that hard to do?

I never saw Chris's thread before. I am getting the Skirts, front & rear valances and a sports grille for £600. Everything is sprayed (the wrong colour  - so i need to get that done) The skirts have been used but are in good condition - the rest is brand spanking new.

I thought I may be able to get it fitted by myself - I don't want to start something that is going to be a complete pig.

I paid £400 for mine to sprayed and fitted. But as far as im aware they didn't take my rear bumper off to do it.

Are the skirts used ? if so, did you get the 8 white plastic fitting clips(4 each side) that go under the car ?

I've been buggered about by the seller now - Greed has taken over methinks - Never mind (yes the side skirts were used but the front and rears were not.)

I think I'll be paying Chris S a visit. New ones will be better anyway.

Thought about it but to be fair have other commitments at the moment - going ice climbing in switzerland for 2 weeks next year so need to save some wonga for that. Plus the fact that the insurance would rocket too - I think I'll wait for the s/c for now. I begrudge paying out at the moment but i was the numpty who didn't protect 4yrs ncb then went ditch diving :driving:

Prob just go straight down the sextuplet-turbo route in a few years anyway

Still looking for a zorst, some springs and the skirts and lips in the very near future though :shifty:

You might as well tell them mate as otherwise if you do need to make a claim they'll have an excuse to back out of it as you haven't given them complete information!

Trouble is my insurance is expensive already...... :crybaby:
