Well, I have just picked up my car from TDi .................. work carried out superbly, and nice cups of coffee ......... (although Mark doesn't seem to think I can make coffee) B)

Car feels more responsive, though I can't say I have noticed any difference in sound .........

Sound / Feelings aside, if course the fugres are what counts ............ I have the dyno sheet here infront of me, and will scan it in as soon as I can .......

The results of my dyno, with the mods done to the exhaust by TDi are now : 185RWBHP / 183ft lb RWTRQ

Needless to say .......... I'm impressed !

So ......... no longer the slowest IS, will have to amend my signature now ! woohoo ! :whistling:

:driving:

glad your happy mate nice increase

but power line a little wiggly then drops right of is that because its a auto

and hard to get  power read from ?

The power curve is unreliable below 3000rpm due to the torque converter boosting the figures and the transmission wanting to "kick down". The curve above 3000rpm is a bit wiggly because no tuning or corrections have been done yet, and it drops off at the top end when it hits the rev limiter. With the Rototest dyno there are no measurements (or guesstimates I should say) of reverse transmission losses, As there are no sprurious readings, what you see is what you've got :)

Blimey! 38 bhp up from Janspeed.....

That's impressive....

What did you have done again?

will be a difference between wheel and hub measurement readings

would be a truer figure if it was done before and after using the same tester

what was done ?

and mr scarfacethispostisuselesswithoutpics , where are the pics

The picture is on the thread mate ..................

We were not able to do a test before hand ............

The exhaust manifold section was cleaned out (inlet pipes made bigger)

Precats Removed

Balancing Pipe was added to manifold

Smile was added to face :D

Don't forget that the primary pipes were also ported Mr Scarface :winky:

Nice one Ahmet.....after seeing the dyno results for the forthcoming TDi manifold, I knew you would get a godd power increase!! :)

However, by balancing pipe, do you mean the pulse tuning mod Mark designed on my car during the R&D for the new manifold?

38hp by changing a few things on the exhaust - doubt it.

to see the "true" gain  need to have a before and after dyno sheet

Who said anything about a 38 hp increase?

The previous measurement of 147BHP was @ Janspeed on a rolling road.

This test was done on a dyno machine.

There is an increase from standard yes, but it's not 38bhp.

So how do you quantify the result if a "before" wasn't done?

Quantify ?

I'm saying that my car 'currently' is 185 RWBHP ...... that's quite impressive for me.

Why do I care what it was before ? It won't be going back to how it was before ......

Quantify..........it's called science. You are comparing a result without having a baseline and therefore the result is worthless

Mike, I wouldn't say my result is worthless, maybe to you ...... not to me mate.

Like I said, and I'll say again ......... as far as I'm concerned, my car is 185 RWBHP, and that's all I care ......... ;)

Fine......as long as you accept that the test was fundamentally flawed :whistling:
