How Soon Can I Polish New Paint?

Recommended Posts

Lexus techie decided to scrape side of rear bumper when reversing off ramp..anyway, they painted it..but there appears to be some marks near site of the original damage. I reckon it's residue from the masking tape they used. Doesn't come off by rubbing with fingers? Do I have to wait 2 weeks before polishing the whole area?

I have Klasse's all in one which is supposed to be non abrasive.

Advice appreciated.

Although the paint is hard on the surface it will still be soft underneath. Best not to touch it for at least 2 weeks. Dont rub with your finger either as it will mark it.

They damaged the car and then didn't respray the whole bumper? :o That doesn't seem fair. Which dealer was that as I've had similar experiences with a certain london dealer.......

Most bodyshops give the car a good wash before they hand it back. Is that not too soon!?
