My Car Is Here!

I picked up my car yesterday and I was nearly trembling with excitement when i first saw it and climbed in for the first time. All I can say is its a wonderful car and I am happy with it. On the 500km journey home it was fantastic, especially fuel consumption wise.. I did the whole journey on a single tank of gas. All in all I am happy.. of course I also have the ERR03 on the CD player but hey LOC prepared me for it.

One point of concern I need to solve quickly.. i ned to register the car we cant find where the engine number is located... Can anyone help with the location of the AS200 engine number... i would really aprreciate.

If you pop the hood there is a vin plate beside the Battery on the engine firewall. This should contain the engine number. Welcome to LOC!

There is the Plate that has MODEL- some alphabets, ENGINE - 1G-FE, but with no number, and FRAME number..which I assume is the chassis number with GXE10-00**. Is that it or is there a number on the engine block somewhere?

Try asking somewhere else on the site because i think the as200 has the same engine as the is200

As far as i know the 1G-FE is the engine number. Mine is a 3G-SE and is on the same plate.

3s-ge/ 1g-fe is the engine type designation

the engine number is on the lip of the block and the head, and should be located on the front right, of the block, but location can change
