For no particular reason other than I never know when I'm on to a good thing, I have decided to sell my LS400. I thought it would be a good move to have it valeted before sale - can anyone recommend a good one within range of me (I'm in West Byfleet in Surrey)?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris, I do hope your'e selling your Lexus for an upgraded Lexus? Can't see anyone deserting the Badge. What model have you? As has been stated the best person to valet your car is yourself.I have my Mark 3 for sale on eBay at the moment and take real satisfaction in seeing the condition I have kept the car in.Our paths must surely have crossed in the past as I live in Weybridge (Brooklands) and Saturday nights fish & chips is always from Superfish,West Byfleet.Best of Luck with your car. Regards Graham.

Thanks Graham, I'm a regular in Superfish myself so we must have crossed paths before unknowingly!

Everyone seems to want me to smarten it up myself, so there must be a message there! I just feel I wouldn't do a great job. Or maybe I'm just lazy, it's cold and wet etc etc . . .

Regrettably I am not moving to another Lexus but back to a Saab. I just like a change every now and then. But the LS has been (is) wonderful really, I want something a little more compact just now but I am sure I will be back for another Lexus in future, maybe next time (hope I am lucky enough to get as good an example again).

Thanks for your input, all.

Agree re 'compactness' but.....you miss the comfort and that ineffable aura of comfort and ease.

Setright in 'Car' magazine had a whole ethos about how a car FEELS, especially to a passenger. The LS ranked very highly (and the Honda Legend)BMWs not at all!

I occasionally get a twitch (for a perfect Citroen DS.....) BUT....then I realise that anything else is a backwards step.

Still....a bargain LS here for someone??

I always like to do my own, get the leather cleaner out, hoover that deep pile carpeting, wash and then Autoglym, nothing more satisfying!

When I first got the car it was clean but not valeted, found several Japanese supermarket receipts and a few Yen coins down the sides of the front seats.
