Usb Turntable For Converting Vinyl.

Hello, set this up today and been up in loft to sort out my old 12" vinyle from my DJ days.

Turntable with USB Output

ION has created the world's first USB turntable allowing you to convert your old vinyl collection directly to CD or MP3 with the included recording software. (NO SPECIAL DRIVERS NEEDED).

The ION USB turntable includes Audacity software for Mac/PC for recording as well as a trial of Bias Soundsoap 2 for cleaning and restoring vinyl.

This turntable also has line level output for connecting to any home stereo with CD or auxiliary (AUX) inputs.

This product is compatible with any software that supports USB audio input sound cards.

Scratches? There's a programme to reduce them on transfer. Plus sometimes a good clean helps

The Ion isn't the first as Technics have a turntable with digital output. But good nevertheless.

Still think that putting LPs onto CD is better than compressing them onto Ipod/MP3.

LPs DO sound better, but only really noticable if

a/ you're under 40 (ears deteriorate!)

b/you have really good equipment

But, in the end Ipod is SOOO useful and easy.....So now I have a roomful of CDs, LPS PLUS spending time downloading onto (Chrissy pres) Ipod.

Find it immensely wierd to look at over 2000CDs/LPs and think that the whole LOT !!!! fit into an Ipod!!
