Is200/is300 Front Bumper

Hello to all, I recently paid a visit to Lexus Guildford, and they informed me that there is a recall on all IS that do not have headlight washers. I have a styling kit all in one bumper/grill but without the washers and they said that they would replace the bumper free of charge inclusive of the headlight washers...

Has anyone else heard of this???

Blimey yeah that's an old school announcement, basically it was for cars fitted with the HID headlights as it's law that they have to have washers, didn't really matter for the 200 as it had halogen lights but the 300 with the Xenon's requires it otherwise you could potentially fail MOT!

This is interesting.I have bought the cgargespeed bumper and as this will not have washers will i nee to remove my aftermarket HIDs for MOT?

as far as i am aware, it is only a requirement for OEM fitted HID`s

wrong its for all hid's fitted auto levelling and washers are needed

Thanks Aido, but why is it law that cars with HID need the washers? Is it a safety issue??
