Where Do I Stand ?

my is was involved in an accident last year

got it fixed

got 4 new wheels

cleaning car today and guess what i found

now my car is out of warrenty , but my wheels are less than a year old june /july ish

what are my chances for replacement

any ideas chris ??

I assumed Mat found the dreaded pitting Ricky.

will be interesting to hear the outcome - defintely a strange situation.

Mat - personally I would push for them being repaired under warranty mate.

The Sale of Goods Act says that goods have to be up to the task for which they are sold.

I would not say say that a set of wheels that are pitting in 9 months meet that criteria.

In that case then I'd have thought the claim would be against whoever supplied the wheels (rather than the car warranty). I'm sure it was Lexus either way but I'd pursue whoever supplied them as they are less than a year old.

Go back to the dealer and show em Mat.If you get no joy I have a brand new set in my garage I can let you have for say 280.00

spoke to lex customer services and they said

the wheels are standard lexus parts and should be replaced ....

if you have any problems see me

havnt been to lex stockport yet tho
