Hi all,

ok this post is to inform you guys about the disgusting service I have recieved from lexus in mainland Europe,( remember we ARE in Europe) and the pleasure of general ***** poor service from some UK dealers!!

If you guys have had bad service as well I think we would all like to hear about it.

SORRY GUYS - BEEN ON HOLS HENCE BEEN LAZY !!

i have had my gearbox replaced ( read post) ill do a quick version of my complaints:

Lexus Bolton - you are the worst dealership I have ever had the misfortune to visit , i had to go back 4 times to pick up my car when i bought it - every time i was told "Your car is ready sir" varied from scratches on the doors to 2 different types of tyre on the same axle! eg dunlop on the L/H and bridgestones on the R/H!!!! and best of all refusing to pay for a service when it was agreed they would.Dealer managers reply to this was Quote" Well if you dont like it, tough!!" The Head office reply was they are independant and can do what they want!etc etc.

lexus Stockport - First class service, from parts, valet and courtesy cars. well done.

Louwman Breukelen, Netherlands: You should be damn well ashamed with the level of service you provided, charging people for petrol, and use of a car and for trying to charge me for changing gearbox oil in an attempt to fix the problem!

well thats my bitching over! LOL

cheers guys

robbie.

well i waited 6 months for my rear spoiler to come from japan:mad:

i had to wait, and after many phone calls did i recive money that lexus owed me for my original spoiler that was'nt fitted:mad:

and when i had arranged to have a new windscreen fitted,i arrived at the dealers(this was the day b4 handing the car back, and arranging this weeks b4)

so i arrived at the dealers ......said ok wheres the windscreen fitter.."oh he is a bit late"

ok lets sort out the insurance.."sorry we only deal with a few insurance companys"

not a problem im with AXA.."nope never heard of them" ..what...there the biggest in erope.."nope never heard of them"

any way to cut a very long story and day,i was there 7hours,i got the screen fitted having made calls to germany and AXA,i was just leaving when.........................i noticed that all the new lexus cars had a little plaque on top reading

..."get you LEXUS finance from us through...AXA"

SO I GOES TO THE WOMAN,VERY:mad::mad: and says thought you dont kow AXA,what did she say......."well its sorted now isnt it"

ive had many run ins with Lexus, mostly to do with me not fitting there "pipe and slippers" image

My experience has been OK so far. I just bought some roof bars and got £30 discount by going through the salesman who sold me the car. I ordered them Friday and they arrived Saturday. I picked them up in jeans and t-shirt with my two children who climbed all over their leather sofas and played with the water fountain. Despite that they were fine - very polite and friendly. (Perhaps they're just after my next purchase - an IS300 perhaps...)

My dealer is actually pretty OK, although I like to shout at them once in a while, just to keep them on thier toes. I've been trying to get my aloys replaced under warranty. The dealaer told me not to wash them for 6 months, and then he'll see what he can do ;)

Oh, and my gearbox is *****, but they always reassure me that "they're all like that, sir" in which case I say "well they're all *****".

How can a £20k+ car come with a gearbox that crunches second gear (if it will go in at all) as a design feature?

Gotta say I've only had good experiences with Lexus sales staff at Nick Whale in Coventry. Their service dept is a bit more problematic tho' I guess they have to deal with the punter from Lexus and Toyota and use the same approach for both (ie the lowest common denomitor - Toyota). However that said, I've just bought the missus a new MR2 from them - So they cant be that bad.

Both cars are private purchases and if you get a good deal and good service I'm happy.
