Navigator Pack Into Standard Is200 S

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I have been offered a navigator pack for my Lexus IS200 (S Model).

It is from the same year vehicle (2000) as mine, and I was wondering will the necessary harnedd connections be there? also is it a massive job?

Has anyone attempted this before?

Here is a picture of the Navigator/ ECU as advertised...attached...

Many thanks in advance of any advice offered...

Cheers

Patrick

you will also need the centre console to house the mk1 remote control.

its not an easy job to retro fit, and i suspect that listing is just for spares.

good luck

Thanks guys...sounds like a heck of a lot of grief.

I read through the posts on Sat nav and saw a Tom Tom fitted...I think I will attempt to fit my tom tom on the coin tray, and hard wire it to a 12v supply on the back of the OEM Radio.

Cheers for you help...

that will not be of any use to you unless u already have the system fitted - you will need to make a loom or get another loom and as that one has been butchered you need to find another car with a loom and then strip 1/2 the car to fit it properly.

the standard lexus nav isnt that great either - a tomtom/garmin etc looks far nicer anyway

Not easily. You need to convert any composite signel into RGB+Sync.

Its not worth it - it is cheaper to get another screen and fit it inside the housing. You'll probably end up with a better system with multiple inputs - you could even go for one with a built in digi tuner for less than £100
