20k Service Cost

Called in to have my rear view mirror replaced on my recently purchased 07 07 IS220d, new one is much better, very little vibration.

Whilst at service I asked how much the 20K service was and was shocked to hear it is £415!! surely this cannot be correct?

that's too much,i think the norm is a touch under 300 quid.btw which dealer was that.

This was the topic of a previous thread some time ago - Lexus Tesside proved to be the best on price. It would be worth getting a quote from Hodgsons or Minories Durham as a bench mark and may be a means of a price match, lets us know how you get on. Merv

I got a price from Newcastle of £240 for a 10k service, so I cancelled my service booking and went to Teesside for £170. When I informed Newcastle of my cancellation they offered to price match Teesside. It's worth a go.

Had 20k service completed yesterday at Exeter. When booked I was quoted £283. When I collected charged £334. When I questioned the price against the quote the invoice was adjusted and I was charged the lower amount without any issues which I thought was good service.

Moral of story - always get a quote when booking.

just for comparison i am shortly getting a 40k service done for £295 inc synth oil and the 40k service is the biggest.

whereabouts was that dgman, my 40k will be done in about 2 months time. I used Derby for the 30k and found them quite reasonable

its at lex wolverhampton and i did get a quote from derby but it was 50 quid more.
