Spark Plug Socket

Can't remember what size spark plug socket to use, but I will say this: use 2 spark plug sockets, one with a rubber insert and one without. Why? Use the socket with the rubber insert to take the old plugs out (stops the old plugs falling back in)then use the socket without the rubber insert to put the new plugs in because you won't be able to remove the socket easily, the rubber insert will grip the plug when you pull the rachet/extension bar up leaving the socket way down in the cylinder.

beet me to it i hate it when you have the rubber insert and your putting the new spark plug in and its a pain to get out either that or a long pair of thin nose pliars

The "PLUG 12" socket fits.

Not a guess either - just tried it on a Denso IK22 plug.

Just a quicky what size socket is required for the plugs 12 or 14mm, going to get one with rubber insert and need to know what size to buy. Cheers in Advance ;)

Yup it's 12mm. I got a Halfords Professional one and have no problems with plugs falling out, sockets stuck to plugs or the rubber coming out of the socket.

Guess you get what you pay for as they ain't that cheap.

I'm thinking this will be ok as it's Draper and they make half decent tools.

Agree with that I got a lot of Draper stuff as well.

just wrap a bit of tape around the socket and extension instead....
