Water In Petrol Tank

MY DAD HAS PUT WATER IN THE PETROL TANK AND THE CAR HAVING PROBLEMS STARTING NOW HE HAS DRAINED THE TANKS BUT SOME1 SAID ABOUT FUEL FILTER WERE ABOUTS ARE THESE CAN SOME1 GIVE ME ADVISE HOW TOO SORT THE PROBLEM OUT THE YEAR OFF THE LEXUS IS 2001 THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

Why has your dad put water into the petrol tank?

I think the fuel filter is in the petrol tank itself, you will have to remove the rear seats (bottom seat base).

i think my dad has broken the fuel pump ! should i hear it buzzing or anything when i turn the key on i have taking it out the tank all ready just lefted it connected to the wires but doing nothing !!!!not happy
