just been to the local lexus deale rto look over the SC and it looks quite nice!

it'll only be used once in a while as we've got the RX for load/kid lugging!!

so give me your opinions good and bad please

I personally don't like the ride quality, especially when the roof is down. Vehicle based on the series II GS which isn't the best chassis in the world for a saloon, let alone a sports car.

Engine is great but gearbox too lazy for anything other than a slow cruiser.

what year is it ?

Can sort lazy gear change out for £25............

change suspension for £1500 ish and you have a different car................then you could s/c it and get 350 + BHP.............

I OWN ONE AND WOULD SAY BUY BUY BUY..

My wife and i really like our Sc430 i have thought about changing cars but i can not find anything to fill the void.

I agree change the wheels as there awful, larger wheels are better.

If you want a car to throw around then buy some thing sporty away from the Lexus brand.

Mine returns around 24 to the gallon not bad when you look at the IS200 which returns 26-30

I dont find a problem with the gear change it felt as good as my Ls400 gearbox.

Get out there and fully test drive a car and make your own mind up.

If looking then check boot struts alloys and wheel valves and o2 sensors pre and post cat.

I'd say go for it I loved mine I had it for 2 1/2 years, if it's a 2006 or later then it has the upgraded suspension and is a much better ride than pre-06. As has been said before take on for a test drive and I ythink you'll be sold on it.

why the suspension upgrade? whats wrong with the early ones?

i'm not after sporty, my old ls400 is quick enough!

you will like it, the interior is lovely, you will get the same cruising characteristics as the LS but with less of the grandpa image. as long as you don't want to throw it round bends like a sports car, you will enjoy it totally!
