New member so please make allowances if formatting all wrong!

I want to replace my standard auto box on my much loved Rx300 (90K mileage) and am looking for:

- Performance/ fun improvement if possible,

- Reasonable cost

- Simplicity

May not be able to achieve all three - need help and advice please.

Has anyone completed a switch to:

- Manual

- Tiptronic

- Simple replacement (recommended garages)

I once saw on Youtube a video of an LS430, newer type (toyota Celsior) with the six speed autobox and it looked like they had fitted the flappy paddles from an IS250 to it. I'm not sure how good it would have been as the steering wheel in an LS430 is huge. It did look quite good though so that might be a posobility.

Jim.

The Toyota Camry is the same engine But 'cos the RX is four wheel drive.

I have tiptronic on the steering wheeel as well as auto box So maybe you can look at getting a Harrier G package import and trying that but I assume you will need steering wheel etc. So probably a big job. The tiptronic is great if I use it in conjunction with the overdrive and power button. It will take off a lot quicker than any standard RX Plus the K & N Induction kit helps!
