Gap Insurance

anyone take out lexus gap insurance ,or reccomend any other?

I took GAP insurance out this time. I wrote my last IS200 off and didn't have the GAP insurance. Made damn sure I had it this time!

There are two types of GAP.

1) The first covers any shortfall in the write-off value and any outstanding finance.

2) The second covers the difference between the list price and the write off value.

I took the second as I paid for the car in cash and did not have any finance. It was £600 and covers the car for the first 3 years of it's life.

I too took out the GAP, i also paid for the car in cash and pair £400 for the GAP for the 3 years.

I didn't actually pay anything for the GAP insurance... it was thrown in on the deal when I bought the car B)

Indeed I did. It cost me £250 if I remember rightly.

I'll tell you how good it is if I ever have to use it :)
