I an going to buy another gs 2002 mk2 with 80k but i an being put off by scare stories as there seems to be a costly and major fault with the brake master cylinder.

Has anyone any ideas of how to check this and if it just occurs can this part be bought and installed cheaper than using a lexus franchised dealership?

if it can be bought cheaper, then from where and cost etc?

Any other advice on any other thing to check would be gratefully appreciated thanks.

The GS was facelifted in Oct/Nov 2000 and part of the facelift included a larger brake master cylinder. The 2002 model will have the newer fitment so no worries on that score. :D
