Looking For Factory Floor Mats

Recommended Posts

Anyone know what they [floor mats] cost at Lexus?

First ever thing I bought my Mk 3 was a set of the proper Lexus floor mats. At £170 it is still the largest single expense on the car after five years. The same week I bought them, I bought a set of genuine VW mats for my wife's golf. They cost less than 10% of the LS ones. Grrrr.

I have the full set of 5 mats (one goes over the rear part of the transmission tunnel) in my import although they are Celsior badged but then had a "winter" set made at a local carpet store.

If you don't need genuine Lexus badged ones get yourself some high quality carpet offcut in the colour you want then have them bound and then punched with either brass or stainless steel hole surrounds for the locating fixings ( cost me £12.00).

Here are 2 of mine the genuine is on the left.

If you need some paper templates I will make some for you.

Looks sweet.

At what sort of place did you have them 'bound in' though?

It was just a local carpet shop, I cut the carpets out using the originals as templates then took them to the shop, they sent them to the place that does the binding and they were back within a week.

lol don't be silly they are special Lexus one way mats that allow you to see out but prevent people looking in! :whistling:

Trust Lexus to come up with something much classier than blacked-out windows.

better for the cat to sit on aswell
