Depending on what spec. you have, yours may have the adaptive lighting function. If so, it is possible to cancel the function or it may be indicating a fault, Either way should be in your manual!

I have recently aquired my '04 RX300 SE about a month ago, again without a manual :

I am sorry, but I cannot answer your question, however I have one or two of my own ( am I allowed to do this ? ).

1. There is a button low down on the right that lights a green 'person leaning forward' light near the air suspension 1/2/3 indicators. I presume this button is also something to do with the suspension, but not sure what ?

Oh and you are right. They are lovely cars. Hope you enjoy yours.

The button you are talking about is to get the car to lower itself when you park up and allow you to get in and out a little easier. Once you've started the car and engaged drive the car returns to it's "normal" ride height.

Hi Normski

Thanks for the info. Does that mean if I leave it pressed in the car will always lower itself when I want to get out and obviously pump itself up again after I drive off ?

I am not the tallest geezer in the world, so maybe a good idea to leave it perm. 'on' ? :P

There is another button with three letters on it (ASF ?????? or similar) down there as well. Can I ask what that does as well ?

I love my new (to me) car

If you leave it pressed the little green light in the dash should light up and flash for a while once you start your car - that's how you will know it's on and doing it's thing.

As for the AFS - that's the swivel/follow-the-steering-angle headlight override. I think it's called Adaptive Front Steering?? Anyway, this button turns it off. I leave mine on all the time but some peeps say they turn it off when they travel in Europe.

Hope this helps matey. It's a cracking car so enjoy!

Hi I have the same problem , and its due to a bad levelling sensor, there is just one connected to the suspension on the rear drivers side. My warning light comes on when it feels like it, but now when you pull up at the traffic lights, its like a disco with the lights moving up and down all the time. Its about £330 for the part and 1/2hrs labour to undo 4 screws to replace it... Im gonna order a new part and fit it myself..
