Accel Racing

I just purchased the 8 dollar "racing module" which looks like a resistor. The instructions tell me to unplug the Intake Air Temperature Sensor and insert the Racing Module for a 45HP improvement in performance. Can this work?

A 45bhp increase...mmm i doubt it to be honest from a resistor..

Hi mate, :excl: Ive seen these supposed plug in chips on eBay claiming a rediculas increase in BHP yet it only looks like a small peice of plastic with a microchip inside.. Personally i dont think i would trust them to be honest.

Your far better off paying the price and getting the job done properly with a reliable company!

At the end of the day you wont want it messing up your ECU. or at the worst damaging your engine! :crybaby:

and to be honest i would of thought you will be lucky to gain 5bhp never mind 45! :o

I read somewhere that the resistor value is such that when fitted it tells the ECU the engine is running cold so the mixture is adjusted richer.

All you will find is your MPG will fall somewhat apart from possible engine damage.

I have hundreds of resistors in my workshop for electronic repairs ....... $8.00 each eh! Now theres a niche market I never thought of! :whistling:
